Why a book on excel?
Excel has an ocean of opportunities, but unfortunately the world hasn’t realized it as yet. When I entered the field of excel, which would be 14 years ago, I realized the scope of excel. The enormity of the subject peaked by interest in this subject and thus, my dedication to train the world about excel. This book, Data Analytics for Beginners by Alfan, is a part of my dedication.
Why didn’t you choose to write the entire excel in a book?
Excel is a vast subject and covering the entire excel in one book has allot of drawbacks. The reader will not have time to understand a concept at its fullest before moving on to the next concept. This could lead to a very confusing state which I didn’t want my readers to go through. Secondly, in cases where the reader is looking for particular conceptual information, they don’t have to invest in a book that is dedicated to the entire Excel and can rather get a book that covers a concept of their choice in much detail.
Why did you choose Pivot Table for the book?
Pivot table is the most powerful tool of excel and unfortunately the most underrated of them all. Through my career as an analyst and a trainer, I have seen people, which include all levels of management struggle with Pivot table. Proper knowledge of this concept can save you a huge amount of time, effort and money. So I thought, why not start a book with Pivot table, because I know, this book, Data Analytics for Beginners by Alfan, will save allot of people their time, effort and money.

What inspired you for this type of approach?
My basic motto was to make sure that my readers have their interest maintained at their highest as they read my book. I researched on different styles of presentation and I noted that ‘comic style’ of approach was something everyone loved. So I decided to incorporate the style into the book making sure the concept is well covered and kept simple and easy to understand.
